An Excuse

I continue to struggle with being the blogworld citizen I would like to be. I neither read / comment on others' blogs nor post on mine with sufficient quality or frequency. It seems this is not an uncommon phenomenon, but it's troublesome nevertheless.

Two days ago an "opportunity" presented itself in the form of an unplanned business trip to the other side of the planet. I leave on Tuesday and return in two to three weeks. I should have at least periodic online access but I really don't know.

At least it's an excuse for sorry-ass blogworld participation. And perhaps I will return with renewed vigor...or the resolve to pull the plug...or???

Cheers!

Flip

Perhaps you need a guest blog host? I could spend a little time over here, and do a few post if you'd like.

You should never feel obligated to have to post regularly or comment on other people's blogs or anything like that. Just post when you feel you need to, comment when you want to, and at whatever frequency you want...

Have an awesome trip half a world away!

Don't go - we'd miss you and your unique view on the world!
Have a great trip - things like that don't come up too often so grab it.
As Mr Secret says - don't feel you have to blog ever - we're just happy to get the odd pearl (some very odd...) when you hand them out

Brad: I thought you'd never ask! I would be honored to have my most excellent guest host for a return engagement.

Joan is back! Or you can be "Dave" or any other guest host this time. Your choice, Brad.

Rey: Thanks for the reminder. I think it's just part of my immaturity to consider folding up my pup tent and going home if I'm not meeting my own expectations. And of course, the attention whore in me probably just wants to hear some folks tell me not to go. Like...

Jasman: Thanks for the vote of confidence. Next time I pull this shit you guys should call my bluff and tell me you think bowing out sounds like a good idea. That would teach me!! And regarding the trip...I am almost always happy to take a trip even though I travel on business so much. I think this one was just so unexpected and has thrown a cloud of uncertainty over some personal plans. But as we say in AA, those are high-class problems.

Love you guys("guys" non-gender-specifically speaking).

Have a great time and never feel guilty about writing or reading blogs - I do the guilt for both of us:) Its a religious / genetic thing.

I would be honored to give Brad a hand if he needs it - and I will also be willing to help him guest host your blog also... ~eg~

Also Mr. Flip, you know better than to "should" on yourself...
